Cafe Football World Cup Warm-Up Quiz

 

Football fans will soon be turning to the ultimate summer football fix – the World Cup.

Before the tournament even begins, football intellects can test their knowledge on all things Pele, Pirlo and Panenka, with Cafe Football National Football Museum’s warm-up quiz.

In conjunction with Classic Football Shirts and Proper Magazine, participants will need to know Zidane from Zambrotta, and possibly which nationality was banned from the 1950 tournament due to their inclination to playing in bare feet.

Prizes will be up for grabs from Cafe Football, Classic Football Shirts and Proper Magazine, and the cafe will be screening England’s final World Cup warm-up match vs Costa Rica from 8pm.

Free to enter but spaces are limited so booking is advisable

Watch The World Cup At Cafe Football

 

The 2017/18 Premier League season is over, which can only mean one thing… the World Cup is just around the corner. Cafe Football have compiled four reasons to watch the tournament unfold at Cafe Football Old Trafford and Cafe Football National Football Museum this summer, from limited edition menus to big giveaways:

The Menu:  Limited-edition food and drinks offering for the competition. Cafe Football has devised a delicious menu for the duration of this year’s World Cup tournament, paying homage to England’s trusted fare, the host’s unusual cuisine, as well as other favoured dishes from participating nations

The Atmosphere – Cafe Football provides a venue unlike any other. Each cafe boasts a multitude of plasma TV screens, so you’ll never be hard-up for a view of the action. The interiors have also been temporarily kitted out with retro apparel, supplied by Classic Football Shirts to fill guests with nostalgia and debate around past tournaments

Tournament Bingo –If the menu and atmosphere wasn’t enough to entice you down, the cafes will also be running a classic Cafe Football bingo game during non-England fixtures. Fans can win prizes whilst cheering on teams.

Activities for kids –  Everyone remembers tearing into sticker packs as a child, hoping and praying for that Alan Shearer shiny, only to be let down by another Ian Walker swap. This World Cup, today’s younger generation can enjoy this anticipation throughout the tournament, with the launch of Cafe Football’s very own sticker album. Featuring illustrations from Manchester-born artists Stan Chow and Neil Roberts, kids and big kids will be able to collect stickers of ‘World Cup wonders’, ‘EUROs heroes’ and even the National Football Museum’s trophy cabinet.
