Welcome to The Gatehouse, the first Greater Manchester Indian Gastro Pub set in the town of Tyldesley.

After 20+ years in the hospitality industry working all over the world, and more recently at the award winning restaurant Asha’s Manchester, owners Xavier and Ewelina decided that it was time to open their very own place.

Introducing a new style of pub dining to the North West; Ale and Aloo brings you a menu packed full of Desi Delights in a traditional pub setting.  The menu includes a selection of small plates perfect for sharing, curries made your way, and Masala Roasts on a Sunday!

Whilst the menu is anything but traditional, they’ve retained the old school public house charm with an open fire, pool table, dart board, cask ales, lager, and even their own house beer.  The Gatehouse  is the perfect place for an evening of good food and entertainment.

Both indoor and outdoor eating and drinking is on offer, allowing you to enjoy The Gatehouse whatever the weather. Oh and did we mention that they're dog friendly!
