There are a handful of bars near The Lowry, a combined theatre and gallery dedicated to L.S. Lowry in Salford Quays, just a ten minute drive or tram ride outside of Manchester city centre.

Both MediaCityUK and The Lowry Shopping Outlet sit alongside The Lowry Theatre and offer a further collection of bars and restaurants, whilst a footbridge takes you to the Imperial War Museum North and more places to eat around Old Trafford football stadium.

As you'd expect, most Salford Quays bars are very busy pre-theatre and on Manchester United match days, as do the trams, both before and after the game, running from the MediaCityUK metrolink tram stop to Deansgate Castlefield in the city centre in just 14 minutes.
