| | | | Bar de Reve Reviews | "The Northern Quarter boasts a diverse collection of bars, pubs and clubs with Bar de Reve adding a further unique ingredient to the mix, something you can't find elsewhere in the area. | Sandwiched between Lammars and Jacksons Warehouse, the three bars work fantastically well together with Bar de Reve reflecting the best of each of its neighbours. | Whilst the plush decor is every bit as decadent as that on offer in Lammars, often leading to it being dubbed 'Baby Lammars', the layout and atmosphere is more comparable to Jacksons; a wine lounge in which to relax and get comfy. | But this is where Bar de Reve differs from its neighbours; more laid back than Lammars, the atmosphere cranks up at weekends with DJs spinning soulful house music for a largely thirty something crowd. | The selection of beers is worth the visit alone - our favourite Little Creatures is on offer - and the cocktail menu is well worth sampling, especially when they do their half price offers. | All in all, we love Bar de Reve, and probably spend more time in there than we should do!" ~ ManchesterBars.com (Nov 2010) |
