Revolucion De Cuba Manchester
During the American Prohibition, when the sale of booze was banned in the States, the American A-List simply threw money at the problem and made a relatively short haul flight to escape the party poopers and ensure they got their fix of boozy debauchery.
Money wasn't really an issue for this lot, so they rounded up the best bar tenders from America's finest hot spots and jetted off to what was to become the original party island... Cuba.
During this time, the first party drinks were invented to soften the harsh local 'grog' (early rum) for the more sophisticated palette of the American social elite.
They got creative and mixed the rum with whatever they could find and found lime and sugar cane were in abundance.
The Mojito was born. Not to mention the Daiquiri and Cuba Libre and many more all emerged around this time. Heralding the rise of the cocktail.

Revolucion de Cuba Manchester, a stunning two floor bar and cantina just off of Manchester's busy Deansgate, is inspired by the spirit of the original party island and by those folk that didn't let the system get in the way of a damn good knees up.
Perfectly located next to Manchester Opera House, The Bridgewater Hall, Manchester Central and Palace Theatre, the family friendly cantina is ideal for pre-theatre meals whilst the late opening hours mean you can still party after the show.
The exciting cocktail menu and amazing cantina menu will keep your taste buds tingling.
Live music, and a late night party not to be missed wait in the downstairs 'Havana Club Rooms'.
If the pace of the party is a bit too much, you can sneak off to the exclusive Havana Club Bar and enjoy some of the world's finest rums and table service all night.
This is also the perfect space to book for your party or function.

MANCHESTER RUM FESTIVAL
Manchester’s first ever rum festival is coming to town this year, thanks to freelance drinks curator Dave Marsland, aka the Drinks Enthusiast. Tickets are now on sale for, only £15 per ticket.
Located at Revolución De Cuba, the festival will be held on Saturday 3rd June, and will boast over 40 types of rum including Bacardi, Chairman’s Reserve, Diplomático, Sailor Jerry and Mezan. Brunches, afterparties and shenanigans galore will mean it’ll be a Caribbean affair from dusk ’til dawn.
Tickets cost £15 for the festival (brunches and afterparties not included) which runs from 12pm-5pm, and include a welcome drink by sponsor Coco Re’al, along with a taster from each of the 15 stalls as you work your way round exploring the top brands.
And if that’s not enough booze for you, a team of mixologists and brand ambassadors will be on hand at the cocktail bar serving up a selection of rum cocktail favourites.

Revolucion De Club Manchester Reviews
"The huge flagship branch of the Mancunian rum bar chain has quickly become one of our favourites in town and, judging by the queues that snake down Peter Street onto Deansgate almost every night, it looks to have quickly become the busiest bar in town too. Live latin musicians every night, salsa classes and an incredible rum collection that gives even the more artisan tiki cocktail bars a run for their money, Rev De Cuba is a must stop visit for anybody who likes a great party!" ~ ManchesterBars.com (Dec 2012)
