The glamour and the grace of the 1950s French Riviera hit Manchester in April 2012 with the launch of the most exciting ‘pop-up’ bar in the city this year, The Yacht Club! |
| Inspired by the charm, refinement and allure of late 1950s French Riviera, where every night was a party night, and in keeping with Manchester’s legendary Hacienda, which was formerly a yacht showroom, the distinguished drinking den has set up home for the summer in one of the city’s favourite sun traps, Hardman Square in Spinningfields. |
The summer playground of world leaders, glamour girls, actresses, playboys and the rich and famous, the 1950s Riviera was the ultimate place to party and have a jolly good time. |
| The ideal place to quaff Champagne and absorb the sunny Manchester rays, The Yacht Club harnesses this spirit, bringing to life the elegance of the Cote d’Azur with the sophistication of the Promenade des Anglais and the stylishness of St Tropez in a chic outdoor bar complete with wooden deck and leather day beds. |

| As well as the usual offering of beers, wines and ciders, the Yacht Club specialises in offering a diverse menu of mouth watering classic cocktails such as The Bardot, Monte Carlo Mint Julep and the Boardwalk Bramble; a fruity combination of Bombay Sapphire gin, lemon juice, a little sugar and finished with a drizzle crème de mure liqueur. |
All of which can be enjoyed seven days per week as the bar opens from midday until 11pm. |
| The Yacht Club is also home to a range of events, including vintage fashion shows, classic car shows and many more. |
| It also works in conjunction with Spinningfields, to host this year’s Screenfields calendar of films, which will be showing every Thursday throughout the summer, alongside the Olympics. |
