The Blue Pig is an illustrious drinking hole situated right in the heart of Manchester’s fabulous Northern Quarter. Set in an impressive Victorian building with beautiful original features, cast iron chandeliers and ceiling graffiti by local artists (don't forget to check out the blue pig taking a walk on the ceiling!), the bar's huge windows and summer outdoor area make it the perfect place for people watching.
Their speciality is carefully crafted cocktails; or discover an excellent range of gins from around the world. The extensive spirits menu ranges from fine aged exotic rums & unusual small batch gins to flavour filled vodkas & fancy tequilas; from single malt whiskies to family-owned liqueurs, sippers, snifters, aperitif & digestifs... Craft beers have a big part to play in their revelling repertoire as do some fantastic local real ales - and the wine list hasn't been forgotten either.
Evenings and weekends are hosted by some of Manchester’s finest DJs, including PB&J DJ collective, fortnightly on Tuesdays Pig-turehouse brings cult films on Pig's big screen served up with movie-inspired cocktails, and on Wednesdays "Oink! Punk Bingo" brings a music version of the classic British pastime!
The Pig's also serves excellent, locally sourced, classic British food with a distinctive Piggy twist, including legendary burgers and award-winning Sunday Roasts!

Northern Quarter's illustrious bar The Blue Pig's winter food menu uses fresh, locally sourced, seasonal produce to create innovative dishes with a distinctive Piggy spin. All meat is provided by The Butcher’s Quarter (Northern Quarter). Their Beef is reared in the Peak District and Pork is sourced locally from Rossendale.
The team at The blue Pig revel in all things meaty, whilst including treats for the non-carnivores amongst us too!
The BURGERS are the stuff legends are made of! House favourite ‘The Blue Pig Burger’ is joined by new creations ‘Dirty Pig Burger’, ‘Spicy Beet Bhaji Burger’ (V) ‘Fiery Four Bean’ & ‘Charred Corn Falafel Burger’ (VV).
MAINS now include Crispy Buttermilk Half Chicken, Soy & Ginger Marinated Rossendale Pork Chop, Pan Seared Hake Fillet and Celericac, Spinach & Cropwell Blue Wellington (V).
Their TWISTED CLASSICS selection includes classic British dishes with a brilliant modern twist: Beavertown Braised Pulled Pork & Chorizo Hash is paired with wilted kale, Truffle Potatoes and Peppered Duck Egg; 28 Day Dry Aged Rib Eye Steak with Rosemary & Smoked Garlic Mushrooms, Confit Plum Tomato & Fat Chips; Cider Battered Fish & Chips with avocado tartar; and Tagliatelle Formaggio (V) with charred leek, board beans, rocket pesto and veggie parmesan.
The Pig’s excellent selection of SMALL PLATES includes Beavertown Beer Glazed Pulled Pork, Cauliflower Pakora (V), Cider Battered Fish Fingers, Chilli Pork Lollipops, Chermoula Marinated Halloumi (V), Fiery Bean Popcorn (VV) and many more!
The best SUNDAY ROAST in the Northern Quarter served every Sunday. Regularly appearing in ‘Best of…’ lists, they serve locally sourced meats (including slow roasted, garlic studded lamb, or succulent slow roasted pork shoulder with the crackliest of crackling and roast apples). And vegetarians need not worry with a beautiful vegetarian special served with all the trimmings!
