Dry Bar Manchester
DRY sits in the heart of Manchester’s artistic neighborhood - the Northern Quarter.
Since first opening in 1989, this historic venue has overcome the changes of the years, stood the test of time and still remains one of Manchester’s prominent food and drink establishments.
Whilst DRY was first famed for being the original urban cafe bar and altering the public’s perception of bar culture, DRY continues to offer fresh forward thinking ideas; hosting the best new DJs, live performances and music events.
With the purchase of a fantastic new pizza oven, the creation of a brand new food menu and a newly refurbished music venue, DRY is set to thrive for many more decades to come.

The History Of Dry Bar
Dry was first opened by Factory Records and New Order in 1989, and was owned by Tony Wilson - the founder and manager of The Haçienda nightclub, and one of the five co-founders of Factory Records.
Dry was originally designed by famed Hacienda architect Ben Kelly and holds a Factory catolgue, FAC 201 - hence it's recognition as Dry 201.
Dry 201 set a precedence for bar culture in the Northern Quarter, functioning as a pre-drinks destination for the Hacienda crowd and bridging the pub/club divide.
It has since welcomed such icons as Madonna, New Order, Liam Gallagher and Shaun Ryder through its doors - some of which are rumoured to have been barred throughout the years.
