Manchester’s Northern Quarter may already be well regarded as a hive of bars, clubs and eateries but there is always space for one more place to drink.
The Tib Street Tavern opened its doors on 25th May 2012 and embraces the history and tradition of the area, combining a vintage pub design with some contemporary features.
You can sit and relax by the grand windows, watching the world go by with a glass of Italian lager or a latte, or stay to enjoy a late night dance when the evening crowd arrive.
There are no gimmicks, it’s not attempting to be a theme bar nor does it offer fancy cuisine, just a good old fashioned selection of beers, spirits and wines from around the Continent.
Draught lagers such as Moretti and Amstell, along with a selection of foreign beers, ensure a choice to satisfy most tastes.
Tib Street Tavern is independently owned by two very fine gentlemen, each with a background in creating Manchester's best bars and who are both perfectionists with the same vision to open a traditional bar in the Northern Quarter.
The plush surroundings offer much more than the traditional snug found in most old style taverns, combining cosy seating areas, feature walls, tin (yes tin) clad ceilings and delicate lighting over two floors.
The high spec bar design and layout ensures that traditional values of exemplary bar service will be adhered to and offers a contemporary contrast to the rest of the Tib Street Tavern.
Imagery of a 1950′s Tib Street is scattered throughout, echoing a theme of local history and complementing the relaxed and classic pub feel of the venue.
Whilst The Tib Street Tavern show a lot of the great sporting events, they also have ‘sport free zones’ for those who want to escape it all.
