The Wheatsheaf Manchester
Built in the 1880’s to serve the Smithfield Fish market, now a craft centre.
The Wheatsheaf is a traditional pub that has recently been painted outside to maintain the attractive exterior.
With a good mix of cliental, the Wheatsheaf is a friendly place to enjoy a drink which attracts the over 25's and is gay friendly.
You'll always receive a warm welcome and there is a fitting motto from John and Frank which can be seen over the bar, "Be Nice or Go Home".
The Wheat Sheaf has a number of traditional ales including Marstons, Pedigree and Guest Ales such as Jennings Lakeland Stunner, Old Empire, Ringwood, Boondoggle and many others. Dark Mild is also available.
In addition, the pub offers a good range of lagers with Staropramen, Stella 4% and Carling currently available.
Office parties and staff night outs are especially welcome at The Wheatsheaf.

The Wheatsheaf run a number of events and has facilities to keep you entertained...
• Northern Quarter's Got Talent - Thursdays - 3pm to 7pm. First prize - £300, Second prize - £150, Third prize - £50.
• Singalong - Sundays - 4pm to 8pm, Mondays 3pm to 7pm
• Pool - There is a pool table available to play on in the pub. The Wheatsheaf have two pool teams which play on Wednesday nights from 8pm.
• Darts - also available for you to enjoy.
• ATM - if you run out of money, there is a cash machine situated in the pub.

A backstreet boozer that captures a traditional Manchester ale house that has survived the times when the Northern Quarter wasn't the fashionable area that it is today. The many photographs on the wall depict scenes from the city's past, including many around the pool table of Newton Heath football club, the team that later became Manchester United.
