There are not many bars near the Etihad Stadium (City of Manchester Stadium), or "Eastlands" as it's also known locally, which is located a mile outside the city centre in the area of Gorton.

Home to Manchester City Football Club, the stadium is in the heart of Sportcity, a complex of venues which also include the National Cycling Centre, incorporating the National Indoor BMX Arena and Manchester Velodrome - home to the Team GB and Team Sky cycling squads - as well as The National Squash Centre and the Manchester Regional Arena athletics stadium.

More pre-match and event offers can be found around Piccadilly in the city centre, with taxis usually found waiting outside, ready to drive you the 5 minutes journey to the Etihad Stadium.

The Etihad Campus is just a 6 minute tram ride or 30 minutes walk from Piccadilly Station.
