Carlsberg is to reduce the alcohol content of Tuborg lager from 4.6% ABV to 4% ABV. They say the taste will not be affected. Draught Stella Artois, Becks, and Carlsberg Export have all recently moved from being 5% ABV to 4.5% ABV. Call us cynical, but we reckon the move has been brought about probably as a way of offsetting duty costs and not, as the marketing blurb says, to make it "more accessible" to drinkers

The new variant is a blend of Pimm’s No.6 vodka cup, blended with the British flavours of blackberry and elderflower. Not only will this be a new flavour of Pimm’s, but also a new look for the brand, with British designer Oliver McAinsh commissioned to design the label
