Another wine bar, bistro and wine shop is set to open in Ancoats, as events organiser and chef James Spalding is set to take over the long-empty ground floor unit of a historic Grade II listed building on Victoria Square.
Gob Manchester is set to be a high quality upmarket venue, on the corner of the stunning terraced George Leigh Street and Sheratt Street, behind Elnecot.

A Manchester City Council Planning Committee meeting narrowily approved the scheme - by one vote - after many objections from local residents; especially from those who live above the corner unit, which has been vacant for more than 15 years.
A former marketing manager and events organiser for Carrington's Wine, James previously created the Crafted beer, music and food festival in the Green Quarter.
The stunning building was originally built in 1894 by the council to help eradicate the unhealthy slums in the area, and contained 283 apartments with communal washrooms.
A date for the opening has not yet been confirmed.
