In the same week that Restaurant Bar and Grill have announced their closure, a few doors along, the former Dolls House shop, on Bridge Street, has been completely transformed to provide a new luxurious and intimate venue.
EXCLSVE BAR & EATERY is set to open in September, with former Grado and Michelin Starred Head Chef Steve Midgley creating the small plates menu, which includes 72-hour Beef Cheek Bourguignons with Lancashire cheese mash; Red Mullet with a tomato and ginger salsa; and Mushroom Arancini with black truffle.
The venue aims to support the local community by using a range of locally sourced products including Mrs. Kirkham’s famous Lancashire cheese, Goosnargh duck from a family owned business, and black pudding from the Real Black Pudding Company in Haslingden.

The cocktail menu has been designed to complement the small plates by General Manager, Manchester bar stalwart Dave Winsworth (Restaurant Bar & Grill, El Capo, Neighbourhood, Blossom Street Social, Panacea, and The Yacht Club), with Bar Manager Jamie Takacs (formerly Head Bartender at Albert Schloss, Arcane and FoodWell), with an extensive selection of champagnes, wines, and ales provided by local brewers Strange Time Brewing and Manchester Union.
Open from 08:00 until 02:00, a stylish private dining room for 10-12 people will also provide a modern setting for entertaining friends, family and clients alike, and is equipped with full media facilities.
The name of the venue can best be explained by the fact that co-owners Jordan Green and Andrew Doyle already manage several successful businesses in Manchester including Exclusive Law Solicitors, Exclusive Health and Exclusive Hire Solutions.
To celebrate the opening, they are giving away several £200 VIP packages for the grand opening. To be in with a chance of winning, simply click here to sign up, and also follow @exclsvebar on Instagram.
