Whilst many Manchester bars and restaurants fight for their survival, the owners of Banyan Bar & Kitchen and Manahatta bring good news, after having plans approved for a high quality American-style sports bar on Deansgate.
The new 125 Deansgate site, opposite John Rylands Library, will be home to the Manchester branch of their Box brand, which currently operate two sites in Leeds.

With plans for a huge two-storey 8,000 sq ft unit, plus a terrace, Mancunians can expect to catch the game on numerous TV screens, with a menu of burgers, pizzas and power bowls, alongside Shuffleboard and private hire spaces.
The arrival of The Box should challenge The Lost Dene and Sawyers Arms opposite, whilst compete with fellow Leeds operator The Brotherhood, just around the corner.
