Last week's opening of The Library curated by Assouline at the 5 Star Radisson Blu Edwardian Manchester, gave us a glimpse of the fantastic cocktails and dishes inspired by the French luxury publishing house, however their new Afternoon Tea takes it to another level.
Served every day, from 12:00 - 17:00, "The Impossible Edition Afternoon Tea" is inspired by Assouline’s Impossible collection of books, which pays homage to the art of luxury bookmaking.
Hand-bound using traditional techniques, with large colour plates hand-tipped on art-quality paper, each page of this limited-edition series bears the unique imprint of the artisan, with topics ranging from art, design, and fashion to watches, golf and cigars.
Nestled in impressive clamshell presentation cases, these unique sophisticated books attract collectors, and works of art in their own right, and will set you back around £750 each.
Slightly more affordable, is The Library's "The Impossible Edition Afternoon Tea", priced at £28 with a selection of homemade finger sandwiches on artisan bread, scones, preserves and patisseries, all available with sparkling wine or champagne for an extra £7.
