In a bid to stop the spread of coronavirus, Prime Minister Boris De Peffel Johnson has ordered all restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, leisure centres and theatres to close their doors following tonight's shift, after warnings to avoid social contact have largely been ignored.
With Mother's Day coming up this weekend, and people clearly ignoring the advice to reduce social contact, especially with elderley relatives, pregnant women, and other vulnerable people, the move has been welcomed by many leading doctors, scientists and those already self-isolating.

It is not known how long the lockdown will last for, however the Prime Minister said the Government will review it "after every month."
Measures have been taken for the Government to pay people's wages, with grants that will cover 80% of the salaries of retained workers - up to £2,500 a month. Presumably we can all cancel our Spotify subscriptions as we spend most of our days listening to the hold music on the designated telephone line.
We are still trying to figure out how the Government's assistance doesn't just push the issue further along the road.
