Manchester is set to get a new street food hub, as London operator Boxparkhas been earmarked to move into Allied London's new Shipyard building on the site of the former Granada studios.
Originally opened as a pop-up boutique mall and street food market, using old shipping containers, in Shoreditch, 2011, Boxpark now have permanent venues in Croydon, Shoreditch and Wembley.
The venue should prove a popular destination for the cluster of media, tech and creative companies set to move into Allied London's new Enterprise City - the area between the River Irwell, Spinningfields, St. John's Gardens, and the Museum of Science & Industry - with Booking.com relocating their global headquarters to the site.
