Following last week's news that Manchester "creative cocktail" bar chain, The Alchemist, had increased sales 19% and London's Dishoomreported a 26% rise in turnover during 2018, another high street chain, Loungers, have also revealed a 26% increase in sales to £153m, with impressive operating profits of £12.4m.
The Bristol chain now have 150 branches in the UK, including Cosy Club in the Corn Exchange, Navarro Lounge on Oxford Road, Benito Lounge in Chorlton, Expo Lounge in Didsbury and Bevano Lounge in Urmston.

The rapid rise of Loungers, with over 25 new openings a year - has largely gone under the radar, thanks mainly to the individual branding and local focus of each branch, with only the 25 more upmarket, "female-focused" Cosy Club offerings sharing a uniform brand name.
