After six years of trading, Gay Village favourite Kiki and its underground disco Void, finally shut their doors on the 18th January, with the announcement that the massive Stonegate pub company had bought the venue.
The popular Canal Street bar is already set to re-open mid February as The Brewer, one of Stonegate's many LGBTQ+ venues, and will boast two rooms ran by the same team.

Amongst a whole host of brands, like Scream, Slug & Lettuce, Yates's, Missoula, Popworld, The Living Room, Walkabout, and Be At One, Stonegate also operate The Two Brewers gay bar in Clapham, which was recently crowned the Best LGTBQ+ Pub in the Great British Pub Awards for the second year in a row.
Canal Street regulars will be happy to learn that, like Kiki, the multi award-winning pub is celebrated for its array of live entertainment, street parties and drag nights, which have helped launch some of the most famous performers on the circuit.
