Manchester based retailer Co-op stores have given hope to many in the hospitality trade who, like workers in many other industries following the Government's social-distancing advice to slow down the coronavirus outbreak, are currently facing an unknown future and financial hardship.
With over 5,000 store-based roles available, they have simplified their recruitment process so that potential candidates can simply walk into their local stores and apply.

Permanent and temporary roles are available to help stores replenish stock, fulfil online orders and provide assistance to isolated customers.
With many laid-off hospitality workers desperately awaiting help from the Government to assist in paying for food, rent, bills and other costs, we need a lot more good news like this.
The Co-op have also announced that 6,500 students at 25 Co-op Academy Schools, who currently have free school meals, will be given a £20 voucher for every week that their school remains shut.
